State of the Pretty Anon

State of the Pretty Anon

Time to clear up the confusion.

As you may have noticed, our output has dropped off significantly in the last year. Unfortunately, many of our members have come down with the incurable illness known as real life. We graduated college, or in some cases went back to college. We got jobs, or got fired from said jobs. We became old. AnonBlack in particular has found success in her dream career, and doesn’t have much free time for scanlation anymore. It sucks, but that’s life. What most people don’t understand is that she has been the driving force behind several of our series, and more often than not would jump in to clean/redraw/typeset when folks were busy. Hers are big shoes to fill.

What does this all mean? Unfortunately, it means we’re dropping several series that we simply don’t have the time or energy to work on anymore.

The following series are dropped, and open to any other group to pick up:

  • Centaur’s Worries
  • Nurse Hitomi’s Infirmary
  • Gunjou Schooldays
  • Aqua Planet Chronicle

The following series is on super slow release schedule, probably dropped unless we can get more staff to work on it:

  • Immortal Hounds

We have raws/some staff to work on this series, but since it is licensed and being released fairly often, we aren’t placing a high priority on it. Any groups that wish to take this over can talk to us about doing a joint/raws/whatever.

The following series is on super slow release schedule, only releasing when AB has time to work on another chapter:

  • Kounodori

Everything else we’re still working on, when we can find time. Please keep in mind that every series has different staff working on it, and when members leave/decide they don’t want to work on it anymore, we can’t always replace them. No one series is stealing staff from any other series, so please don’t assume this. We are always open to bringing new people on board, but we lack the time to train people from scratch. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask here and we’ll get back to you when we can. Thank you all for your support over the years.
